A child’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) is the cornerstone of his or her special education program. IEP team members (parents and the local school system) have the opportunity to combine their special areas of expertise and jointly craft an appropriate education program for the student. Please join us to learn how to be a more informed effective parent as part of the IEP team by increasing your knowledge of the school system’s procedures, while learning skills in organizing and presenting observations about your child, and enhancing your role as an informed and active participants in the special education process.

This training will provide participants with ideas and tools to create positive visions for children with disabilities. In addition, practical and creative ideas and solutions for inclusion will be presented and discussed. Participants will walk away with real life examples of how positive visions and inclusion can truly benefit children with disabilities.

Emergency Preparedness - Vista Room

How people with disabilities and their families can prepare for natural or man-made disasters or emergencies.

How individuals with disabilities can prepare to evacuate or shelter in a place for a minimum of 72 hours without formal emergency management assistance.
